Lavender Hill Cemetery - Enfield | PHOTOS | MAP

We went to visit Obed's grave in Enfield today. I'm so happy we've done it because we'd been talking about it for years.

Neils drove down and Sam, Chris and I biked it.

Rest in peace Obed.

Friday 10th May

Kings Cross - St John's Wood

Chris, Sam and I were out early to attend an Exchanging Places event at Kings X. Big fiasco!

Spent the afternoon at Sam's because of the threat of rain. Brown Alers! :-)

Tuesday 7th May

Alexandra Palace

Rode up the 'peaks' of North London with Sam and Chris. We ended up at the Bar & Kitchen in Alexandra Palace.

  • Chris' rear derailer went into his spokes and brought him to a skidding halt. Luckily we had just turned onto the Parkland walk so we weren't moving quickly.
  • A can of orange soda burst in Sam's backpack and ruined his phone.
  • Sam's rear tyre was punctured.

It was a very good ride inspite of all the mishaps! :-)

Monday 6th May

Harrow

Had a very good visit with Mum as usual.

When I ride back I usually get onto the canal at Greenford but decided to take the faster route through Wembley Central. Crossed over the North Circular (A406) at Stonebridge Park and got onto the canal at Alperton. Great ride!

The Novice Cyclist

I've recently taken up cycling as a healthier option to my long time hobbies of smoking, drinking and general laying about and I must admit it has been quite a revelation. For a middle aged man who has spent his lifetime with the devout belief that he is allergic to all forms of exercise I find myself thoroughly enjoying this indulgent pastime.

:-) You'll have to go to Chris' blog to read the rest of his amusing introduction.. The CoolBlue Journal
